The Waiting is the Hardest Part

Nobody ever said you always have to know exactly what to do. Sometimes the only thing you can do is wait.

Waiting is a challenge. If you succumb to worry and doubt and fear, waiting can be miserable. Why not wait with a gentle compassion in your heart. Why not trust that you will know what to do or say when the time comes. Now is not the right time, therefore you do not need to know what to say or what to do. Right now the only thing to do is wait.

Relax. Take a deep breath. Count your blessings. Be alert and aware of what the present moment is offering you. The healing takes place here and now.

The compassion and wisdom you desire is right in front of you. Focus on here and now and accept that you just don’t know what to do yet, and that’s OK. You don’t have to solve all the world’s problems right now, you can’t solve them all at once.

Still not feeling better? Still feeling overwhelmed? Try focusing on what is right in front of you, the current task at hand. Break down the bigger issue into bite-size chunks.

Question: How do you eat an elephant?

Answer: One bite at a time.

You deserve a break from the worry and the fear. You are worthy of a quiet, peaceful mind. You are capable of creativity and magic.

You are in control.
